Frequently Asked Questions About Business Intelligence

Everything you need to know about BI solutions and our Qlik-based products.

Business Intelligence (BI) refers to methods and tools for systematic analysis of business data. The goal is to gain actionable insights from raw data that enable better business decisions. BI includes data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization in interactive dashboards.

Qlik stands out through its associative data engine, which links all data in real-time – without prior definition of relationships. This enables free exploration instead of predefined reports. Additionally, Qlik is particularly performant with large data volumes and offers excellent in-memory technology. For healthcare, we have specialized solutions like DRG-View.

A pilot project with initial dashboards can go live in 4-6 weeks. Complete implementations take 3-6 months depending on complexity. Our approach: quick wins in phase 1, then gradual expansion. This way you see first successes quickly while we build the complete solution in parallel.

A pilot project starts at €15,000. Complete BI solutions range between €40,000 and €150,000, depending on data sources, number of users, and complexity. Our ready-made solutions like DRG-View or OP-View are more affordable (from €12,000/year license + setup). We are happy to create an individual quote for you.

Yes, Qlik can connect virtually all common data sources: SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle), Excel, CSV, cloud services (Salesforce, SAP, etc.), APIs and more. We have experience with over 50 different data sources and also develop custom connectors when needed.

Not necessarily. Qlik can load data directly from source systems and process it in-memory. For extensive analyses with many sources, we recommend a data warehouse for better performance, historization, and data quality. We advise you on the optimal architecture for your case.

Security has highest priority: encrypted transmission (TLS), encrypted data storage, role-based access rights, audit logs for all accesses, and GDPR-compliant processing. Our BI solutions can be hosted on-premise or in German data centers.

Yes, Qlik offers different user levels: end users can use predefined dashboards and set filters. Power users can create their own sheets and customize visualizations. Administrators have full control. We train your teams according to their role.

Yes, training is part of every implementation. We offer: end-user training (dashboard usage, 2-3h), power-user training (create own analyses, 1 day), and admin training (system administration, 2 days). All training is practice-oriented and related to your dashboards.

DRG-View focuses on revenue controlling and case-mix analyses for hospitals. OP-View analyses OR utilization, efficiency, and metrics. Both are based on Qlik and specifically developed for healthcare. They complement each other perfectly – many clinics use both solutions together.

We offer different support levels: Basic (email, response 48h), Business (email + phone, response 24h), Premium (dedicated contact, response 4h). All packages include updates and bugfixes. Additionally, we recommend quarterly review meetings for continuous optimization.

Absolutely, we even recommend it! A typical pilot project runs 6-8 weeks, focuses on a concrete use case (e.g., sales reporting), and delivers tangible results. This way you can test BI with a manageable investment. If successful, we then scale step by step.
