DATEV-LLM is an AI assistant for DATEV questions that runs entirely on your own computer or server. It answers from DATEV manuals, charts of accounts and GoBD rules and names the source for every answer. For accounting, tax advisers' firms and people who do their own bookkeeping.

Accountants and tax advisers who want to use an AI for DATEV questions face a problem: the obvious cloud assistants process requests externally, which is often out of the question for client data and GoBD requirements. DATEV-LLM therefore runs entirely locally: a language model (Ollama) plus a searchable knowledge base made of DATEV manuals, charts of accounts and the GoBD rules, without a single request leaving your own network.

It is meant for accountants who want to know quickly how to book an account in SKR03 or SKR04, for tax advisers looking for a reference work for DATEV workflows, and for people doing their own bookkeeping in small companies who want to describe a business transaction and have the matching journal entry explained. Every answer points to its source (document, page, section), so that you can check it.

Behind it is a RAG pipeline (retrieval-augmented generation): uploaded PDFs are split into sections, stored as vectors in a PostgreSQL database with pgvector and automatically searched for relevance when a question is asked, before the language model answers.
