Guardlane

Shadow AI becomes controllable AI governance: checklists with proof requirements, escalations and audit-ready reports, so that the EU AI Act becomes practice in the team and does not stay a PDF in a folder.

Guardlane is software for AI governance in mid-sized companies. It records which AI is in use in the company, asks for proof through checklists, reminds you of deadlines and produces audit-ready reports. So that the EU AI Act does not end with a PDF in a folder.

Who in your company is using which AI right now – and does anyone know?

AI is already running in most companies: ChatGPT in marketing, Copilot in accounting, an AI plugin in the CRM. Only often nobody has documented it. That becomes a problem as soon as the obligations of the EU AI Act apply. They apply in stages: prohibitions since February 2025, rules for AI models since August 2025, transparency obligations from August 2026, high-risk systems, according to the current overview from the EU Commission, from December 2027 or August 2028 (as of 15 October 2026). Which obligations affect your company depends on whether you offer AI or only use it, and on which risk class it falls into. One thing is clear: anyone who uses AI should be able to show how they have it under control.

Guardlane is aimed at mid-sized companies that need exactly that but have neither a legal department nor a six-figure budget for an enterprise governance suite. Instead of yet another dashboard that shows numbers and does nothing else, it is meant as an operational control system: it should lead to visible progress in weeks, not only after a year of project time.

In concrete terms: instead of declarations of intent, Guardlane asks for proof, escalates when a deadline is missed and delivers reports at the end. This also works when several departments or an external adviser are involved.
