Pame
An associative BI system in the style of QlikView: one click on a value, and all connected tables, charts and key figures react instantly. We developed the Rust engine behind it ourselves. Pame runs in the browser, as a desktop app or as a PWA.
Associative data analysis, without QlikView licence costs
QlikView and Qlik Sense made associative selection popular, and many BI tools still cannot do it. Instead of building filters and dashboards in advance, you click on a value, a country in a list for example. All connected tables, charts and key figures update instantly, across the whole data model. Pame works on the same principle, with a Rust engine of our own at its core and without a licence from one of the big BI vendors.
Technically, Pame is a Vue 3 frontend. It runs in the browser, as a Tauri desktop app and as an installable PWA, and talks to the Rust backend pame-server through a single HTTP contract. Five usage modes (view, edit, develop, design, administration) each show only the menu that fits the role.
Pame is meant for business users who want to click through data, for data engineers who prepare models, and for developers who build BI into their own applications. Around the engine, a desktop client for viewing and building analyses and a hub for multi-user and enterprise operation with login, roles and sharing are being developed.
