Digital prescription management
Dauermedikation
A digital system for managing long-term medication, with automatic stock monitoring and prescription requests at the click of a button instead of an Excel list and a call to the practice.
Getting repeat prescriptions is an admin problem, not a medical one
Anyone who takes several medicines long term knows the pattern: the supply runs low, someone has to remember to call the practice, get a repeat prescription issued and redeem it at the pharmacy, and all that for each medicine separately, often at different times. For privately insured patients there is also the billing with the insurer. None of this is medically complicated, but it is annoying enough that people put it off until the supply is actually empty.
Dauermedikation maps exactly this process, with three separate roles: patient, medical practice and pharmacy. Each side gets its own dashboard. The patient enters their medicines with dosage and current stock, the system automatically calculates how long the supply will last and suggests when a new request makes sense. The request then goes as a structured email to the practice and on to the pharmacy, without anyone filling in forms by hand or chasing by phone.
The target group is privately insured patients on long-term therapy and the practices and pharmacies that look after them, above all when several medicines run in parallel and the overview would otherwise live on slips of paper or in someone's head.
