Collaborative detective game

MysteryMail

A mystery game that takes place entirely in your inbox. Groups solve a case together over 7 to 14 days, with daily story emails instead of yet another app on the home screen.

An escape room that lands in your mailbox by itself

Collaborative puzzle games usually depend on an app or platform of their own that everyone involved first has to install and learn. That is a hurdle that, for groups of friends or colleagues, is often enough for the plan to fizzle out. MysteryMail moves the game to where everyone looks every day anyway: nobody needs to set up email specially.

3 to 8 players solve a case together, told in daily story emails over 7 to 14 days. An AI game master reacts to the group's replies and actions, players communicate with each other through in-game emails, and the case develops according to their decisions. Four fully worked-out scenarios already exist: a mystery on an Antarctic research station (4 players, 7 days), a family inheritance whodunnit (6-8 players, 14 days), a resistance thriller in occupied France in 1942 (3-6 players, 7 days) and a modern spy story (3-8 players, 7 days).

The target group is private gaming groups: circles of friends, families, and teams looking for a shared activity beyond the classic video conference. The story arrives by email, but it is still solved together at the kitchen table or in the group chat.
