Gemini 3.1: Google’s AI powerhouse
Google Gemini (formerly Bard) is Google’s AI assistant and its answer to ChatGPT. With Gemini 3.1 Pro and the faster Flash models, Google offers models with a large context window (up to a 1-million-token context), Deep Research and deep Google integration. Gemini is especially interesting for anyone who works with Google services anyway. Google itself lists current prices and plans; you will find the link under “View pricing”. Who Gemini makes sense for
Gemini is Google’s AI assistant, formerly known as Bard. It is worth it above all for teams and individuals who work with Google services anyway, because Gemini is connected to them directly.
What you get
There are two model classes: Gemini 3.1 Pro for demanding tasks and the faster Flash models for everyday use (as of August 2026; Google swaps models at short intervals, the current list is with Google). The large models process a 1-million-token context. So you can feed in very long documents in one go. On top of that comes Deep Research for research that brings several sources together.
